The cabin is nestled in the pines of Kerhonkson at the base of the Catskill Mountains. The cabin is on just over one acre of heavily wooded land so although neighboring houses are visible, the property feels very private. Get back to nature with great hiking, kayaking, and rock climbing nearby, or explore the nearby local towns of New Paltz, Stone Ridge, and Rosendale or travel a bit further to the towns of Woodstock and Kingston. 10 mins → Vernooy Falls 20 mins → Minnewaska State Park 20 mins → Mohonk Preserve The area is known for local breweries, wineries, and distilleries, along with amazing farm-to-table restaurants. 10 mins → Rough Cut Brewing 15 mins → Arrowood Farms 15 mins → Westwind Orchard Please check out our guidebook for more area and seasonal recommendations!

Guests have private access to the entire house and immediate surrounding property including a screened-in patio with a gas fireplace, an outdoor fire pit, a hammock, and an outdoor dining area with a charcoal BBQ.

A vehicle is required to visit the cabin as public transportation and ride-sharing services are not offered in the area. The cabin is easily accessible from New York and New Jersey by car — take the I-87 thruway to exit 18, NY 299 W towards New Paltz. The cabin is located in Kerhonkson, about 20 minutes past Minnewaska State Park. During the winter, a route with less elevation change is available via NY State Route 17 and US 209 north. A vehicle with AWD or 4WD is recommended during winter months. The last mile of the trip, GPS can get a little confused with our private road. Detailed directions to the property are included in the check-in instructions.
